Very rough start to the season yesterday at
Eldora Speedway. It was my first time there and let's just
say WOW!! Very, very fast track and a nicely run facility. I was
able to start the feature after a DNF in my heat race due to an
on track incident that damaged the car bad enough I had to pull
off. I did make several laps in the feature before another
incident on the track bent something in the left front ending my
night. We will regroup and be back out in a couple of weeks.

I want to personally want to think each and every one of you
that took the time each day the last few months to vote for
me!!! I was not the grand prize winner BUT I am officially part
of
#TeamChampion
for the 2016 season. I look forward to representing Champion
Spark Plugs and to seeing all of my fans at the track in the
next few weeks!!! Again thanks for your support and I hope to
see you at the track!!

We traveled to Brushcreek Motorsports Complex last night for
Tyler's first night out in the regular modified class. Tyler
qualified 3rd which put him starting 3rd in the heat race. He
fell back to 5th place early in the race before battling back to
finish 3rd. With the 3 car invert Tyler started on the pole of
the feature. We came home with a 4th place finish. Overall it
was a great night but we both have ALOT of learning to do lol

We traveled to Brushcreek Motorsports Complex last night for our
2nd trip out in 2015. It was a roller coaster of a night to say
the least. We had a new setup under the car which made it too
free in qualifying resulting in Tyler being 4th out of 6 in his
group. Tyler finished 3rd in his heat race with the rear brakes
stuck causing the car not to handle. This earned him a 6th place
starting spot in the feature. Tyler would start the race with no
rear brakes and worked his way up to 2nd place with 2 laps
remaining. Coming to the white flag and running down the leader
Tyler spun which ended his night in 7th. We will regroup and try
it again next weekend.
5-16-15
First night out in 2015 and Tyler finished 3rd out of 19 cars.
Tyler started 6th and at one point dropped to 10th. Considering
that we'll take 3rd place and regroup!!

It's time for the announcement that involves our fans!! Tyler has been entered into the Champion Spark Plugs search for a Champion!!

After our night at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex started off on the wrong foot Tyler Smith was able to pull off feature win #6 on the year. Tyler qualified 1st in his group and started the pole of the 1st heat. He was able to pull off the win and start on the pole of the feature. With a couple of late race cautions and some very tough competition right behind him Tyler was able to capture the checkered flag!!

Welcome to the new Tyler Smith Racing Website. As most of you know Tyler no longer races go-karts. We would like to thank EVERYBODY that helped us through six very successful years of kart racing.
Tyler has been competing in the Sport Mod class at Southern Ohio Speedway
and other area tracks. We were able to get Tyler in the seat of
his Sport Mod for one race in 2012 and he had an awesome experience!!
Which carried over into the 2013 season.
We will resume racing at Southern Ohio Speedway in April of 2014 and look forward to competing at the next level.
